French soccer side AS Monaco has signed a partnership agreement with Casino Secret, a new iGaming operator that targets the Japanese market. Casino Secret will be the “Official Online Gaming Market” in Japan for AS Monaco for the next two years.
The Ligue 1 team has been focusing on expanding its presence in Japan and increasing its Japanese soccer fan base. It recently launched its official Japanese Twitter account and signed Japanese star forward Takumi Minamino in June. The partnership with Casino Secret is another step in that direction.
Creating Unique Content Together
AS Monaco Chief Executive Officer Jean-Emmanuel de Witt was delighted to welcome Casino Secret as a regional partner. He said that AS Monaco was “an iconic Ligue 1 club” and that it always had “a strong international dimension.”
The fact that the Monaco-based team signed Takumi Minamino, Japan’s best soccer player right now, made the club even more popular in Japan and everyone at AS Monaco looked forward to working together with Casino Secret and providing Japanese soccer fans with “unique jointly created content.”
The partnership deal says that Casino Secret and AS Monaco will work together on creating “high-impact” digital campaigns and will target Japanese soccer fans with their content.
AS Monaco is the Logical Next Step for Casino Secret
Nadir Ounissi founded Casino Secret and serves as the gaming operator’s CEO. He said that ever since the brand was launched in 2018 it “has been growing exponentially in Japan” pointing to the gaming operator’s numerous awards as evidence that Japanese players love it.
Ounissi noted that AS Monaco was not the first soccer team the casino has worked with and that they had other partners from the football industry. However, none of those partners has been as illustrious as the Monaco-based soccer team.
With Casino Secret becoming “one of the leading online gaming companies in Japan” though, it was logical for the casino operator to take the next step and partner with a world-class soccer club like AS Monaco.
